Which is better for your cholesterol, butter or margarine?

Although butter and margarine are both fats (up to 80% fat), butter contains cholesterol and is generally much higher in saturated fat than margarine. Margarine is made from vegetable sources; it is not, therefore, a direct cholesterol source.
