Is mono-sodium glutamate (MSG, E621) carcinogenic ?

MSG is not a carcinogen. It is a normal amino acid, which our body needs to make protein (such as muscle). It is an essential element in our nutrition.

Many (possible) side effects are attributed to MSG, but cancer is not one of them.
