Produced by heating siliciumdioxide (quartz, sand) and sodiumcarbonate.

Function & Characteristics:
Used as anti-caking agent, to preserve eggs, and to improve mechanical peeling of peaches. Also as a carrier for aromas.

Canned peaches, preserved eggs, vanillapowder.
