Natural resin from the tree Guajacum officinale and some related tropical trees.

Function & characteristics:
Anti-oxidant in cola.


Acceptable Daily Intake:
Up to 2.5 mg/kg body weight.

Side effects:
None known in the concentrations used, although some allergies have been reported.

Dietary restrictions:
314 can normally be consumed by all religious groups, vegans and vegetarians.
