Synthetic anti-oxidant.

Function & characteristics:
Anti-oxidant in fatty products, especially added to prevent rancidity.

Oils and fats, (cosmetics).

Acceptable Daily Intake:
Up to 3 mg/kg body weight.

Side effects:
None known in the concentrations used.

Dietary restrictions:
313 can normally be consumed by all religious groups, vegans and vegetarians.
