Food-Info.net Organisation
Food-Info.net is a project, initiated and run by the independent Food-Info Foundation (Dutch : Stichting Food-Info). The site is non-commercial and all responsibility on content and lay-out is with the university partners.
The Food-Info.net organisation consists of Partners, Members and Supporters.
Partners are universities that take the responsibility of the content of the site for one or more languages and/or initiatives in their country of origin
Members are non-commercial, preferably European or international organisations that substantially support the food-info.net project, either financially or in providing content. Commercial organisations can not be a member of Food-Info.net. All members are mentioned on each page of the food-info.net website and more prominently on specific pages, depending on partner or member.
Supporters are commercial and non-commercial organisations that support the Food-Info.net project. Supporters may be mentioned on brochures and publications, but are not mentioned on all pages of the site. Supporters have no influence on the content of the site.
The foundation is dependent on membership fees, donations and the income from the Google Adwords campaign.
Membership fees :
- For partners there is no membership fee. All universities worldwide with a department of Food Science and Technology or similar can become partner.
- For members the minimum annual fee is at least 5000 Euro and only non-commercial organisations can become member.
- For commercial (company) supporters the annual fee is at least 1000 Euro.
- Individual donations are very welcome, with mimimum amount of 5 Euro. For donations under 250 Euro, please use paypal to webmaster@food-info.net. For larger donations please contact us for bank details.

The site is run by a daily management team located at Wageningen University and an controlling Executive Board made up of Partners and Members. The Project Manager is the contact person to all translators, Partners and Members.
